The College will be remain partially open.
Students in the Skills for Life Faculty should not attend, while the College will be open for students from the Pathways Faculty and the Creative and Service Industries Faculty.
We are continuing to monitor guidance from the Met Office, which currently shows no weather warning in place for Totton tomorrow. However, although temperatures are expected to be slightly cooler, they are still forecast to exceed 30°C.
We are very mindful of the cumulative impact that the recent extreme temperatures have had on the wellbeing of both students and staff. We recognise that everyone will be coping differently, and that the heat will affect some more than others. Therefore, we fully understand if you choose to keep your child at home due to the weather conditions.
We will provide a further update should there be any change to the current arrangements.
At present, we are planning for the College to open as usual on Monday.
