Following our communication yesterday, we have further reviewed the weather forecast. As you may be aware, the weather warning has escalated from Amber to Red overnight. In light of this significant change, we have made the decision to adjust our plans for today.
The college will close at 11.00am today. Our priority is always to safeguard the wellbeing of our community, and we believe this decision is necessary to minimise risk to all our students. Closing earlier will allow students to travel home safely ahead of the most severe conditions.
If your child is unable to leave site at this time due to transport arrangements, they may remain in college until the usual end of the day or until they are collected by a family member. However, please be aware that they will need to be collected or make their way home at 4.15pm.
Please note that the refectory will operate a limited service during break time only, and there will be no lunch service. Students entitled to Free School Meals will be able to access these during morning break or before departure at 11.00am.
At present, we are planning to open fully on Friday. However, we will continue to monitor the situation closely and will keep you updated with any changes.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
